Rawalpindi: The Punjab Government has sought plans for new projects from the district administration for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, a news source reported. The district administration has been asked to consult local MNAs and MPAs in this regard.
The lawmakers concerned have been asked to suggest areas for the development schemes so that the projects can be launched in the next fiscal year, and made part of the Annual Development Programme (ADB).

It is pertinent to mention that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) postponed its anti-encroachment drive for a month and sought building plans from owners of commercial plazas.
The scheme would allow RDA to collect fees for approving building plans and to impose fines on violators. The owners, on the other hand, would be able to legalise their structures and establishments.
