Lahore: The Punjab Safe City Authority has launched an android app for public safety, reported a news source. The app has a “Lost and Found” feature, which is designed to record and report the lost documents, vehicles, people, and luggage etc. to the Lost & Found Coordination Unit in the database.
The android app users or any citizen can report such incidents through this app in addition to informing the local police station. Reportedly, the app has helped the Punjab Safe City Authority trace two missing persons, 152 bikes, one car, and six rickshaws in 2017.
The app is designed carefully by incorporating user-friendly features, and lets the user report the lost and found items by sharing basic details and pictures. The authority urges people to use the app and recommend it to others.
