Lahore: The Punjab government has approved seven projects for the rehabilitation of roads in several districts of the province at an accumulated cost of PKR 10.476 billion, according to news published in the leading newspaper on October 18.

The 20th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was chaired by Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal, in which the following uplift projects were approved:
• Rehabilitation of Khushab-Muzaffar Garh Road (District boundary Khushab to Daal Morr) in District Jhang, at the cost of PKR 2,941.186 million
• Rehabilitation of the road, from Jhang-Shorkot– Kabirwala Road Adda Doli Shaheed to Toba Tek Singh (Majhi Sultan Road) in Jhang District, at the accumulated cost of PKR 1,869.889 million
• Rehabilitation and improvement of the 20-kilometre-long Tateypur road from Adda Qadirpur Raan to Pull Chattha via Tateypur, in District Multan, at the cost of PKR 416.322 million
• Construction of Mujahid Dam District Rawalpindi, at the cost of PKR 1,719.619 million
• Construction of Highways Residential Colony Multan, at the cost of PKR 1,263.168 million

• Rehabilitation and improvement of a 24.5-kilometres long road from Bhowana to Aminpur Road in District Chiniot, at the total cost of PKR 1,224.970 million • Rehabilitation & reconstruction of 15.5-kilometre long Lilla Kandwal Road (Section Lilla Darbar Sharif to Lilla Petrol Pump) Tehsil P.D. Khan in District Jhelum, at the cost of PKR 1,041.616 million
