Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) of Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board on Tuesday approved 10 uplifts and development schemes worth PKR 45.55 billion, news sources reported.

Planning and Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal presided over the said meeting. Additionally, P&D Provincial Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch, senior officers from key provincial departments, and members of the Punjab Planning and Development Board, senior chief coordination, and assistant chief coordination attended the meeting.
The details of the schemes that were approved by the board are as follows:
- PKR 1.274 billion were approved for the reconstruction of Rawat Haraka Dhadial Road (Length 36 km) (Phase I) in Rawalpindi
- PKR 19.29 billion is allocated for the construction of the Chobara Branch Canal (Phase II) under Greater Thal Canal Project
- PKR 19.78 billion were approved for component command area development (phase II) of the Greater Thal Canal project
- A total of PKR 750 million has been set aside for the development of a Cricket High-Performance Center at the Divisional Headquarters in Faisalabad.
- PKR 750 million would be spent on the establishment of a Cricket High-Performance Center at the Divisional Headquarters in Sialkot.
- PKR 605.5 million for the construction of Tehsil Complex, King Suleman Stadium, mini zoo and construction of pile foundation bridge, Mettalled Road and Toyota Center in Sanghar Nala area in DG Khan Tehsil Taunsa Sharif
- PKR 526.984 million for the building of a 31-km long road from Kahuti to Cliary in Rawalpindi.

- PKR 441.474 million for the construction, maintenance, reopening, and restoration of Rajanpur’s Khambi to Mari Meteled Road.
- PKR 2.2 billion for the dualisation of roads in Lodhran Karor Paka, Melsi and Vehari
- PKR 104.485 million for the establishment of a project management unit in conjunction with the Nullah Lai Expressway and its related urban regeneration project.
