Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has given the nod to five development schemes with an estimated cost of PKR 24.9 billion, news sources reported on December 29.

The projects were approved at the 37th meeting of the PDWP board held here in Lahore. Presiding over the meeting, Planning & Development Board Chairman Dr Wasif Khurshid said that these schemes would play an important part in creating jobs.

The meeting approved the following schemes:
- PKR 18.981 billion was allocated for enhancing Public Private Partnerships in Punjab Projects
- PKR 3.317 billion was allocated for the management of Mithawan Hill Torrent in D G Khan District
- PKR 1.101 billion was allocated for the management of Chachar Hill Torrent Flood Water in District Rajanpur
- PKR 1 billion allocated for integrated farms development in Punjab Barani Tract by ABAD
- PKR 559.668 million allocated for the establishment of Dargai Gill Forest Park
