Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday (August 30) approved nine road infrastructure development projects worth PKR 9 billion, news sources reported.

The new development projects were approved during the 7th meeting of the PDWP held here in Lahore, which was presided over by Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal. The following projects were approved by the board:
- PKR 2.25 billion has been allocated for the rehabilitation of the 48-kilometre-long road between Shujabad and Jalalpur Pirwala
- PKR 1.287 billion has been allocated for the construction and rehabilitation of the 26-kilometre-long Chishtian to Haroonabad Road
- PKR 996.8 million has been allocated for the widening of Vehari Mailsi Kahror Pacca Lodhran Road
- PKR 972 million has been set aside for the rehabilitation of the 18-kilometre-long road from Karor to Behal
- PKR 917.5 million has been allocated for the rehabilitation of the 23-kilometre-long road from Choubara to Nawan Kot Road

- PKR 875 million has been allocated for the rehabilitation of the 17-kilometre-long Minchinabad to Dhak Pattan Road
- PKR 670 million has been allocated for the rehabilitation of the Ludden Karam Pur Road in District Vehari
- PKR 631.246 million has been approved for the rehabilitation of the 17-kilometre-long Bahawalnagar to Arifwala Road
