Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved five development schemes worth PKR 5,039.577 million for various sectors, according to a news story published on Friday (January 7).

Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal approved the projects at the 51st meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP). The details about the approved projects are as follows:
- Restoration/dualization of 1.25-kilometre road from MDA Chowk to Lodhi via Pull Bararan, Multan district, at the cost of PKR 1,038.963 million
- Construction of underpass at Katchehri-Rasulnagar Road Railway Crossing City, Shiekhupura, at the cost of PKR 943.224 million

- Rehabilitation & concrete side protection/lining of Dinga Disty and its system, at the total cost of PKR 633.886 million
- Pilot-demonstration resource efficiency & cleaner production investments in Key Industrial Sectors (PGDP/DLI-7), at the estimated cost of PKR 2,000 million
- Improving shortage of water supply in Sikhanwala Disty, the concrete lining of Chichoki Mallian Disty system, Ahmad Wala Minor, Muniyanwala Minor, and Hardo Minor at the cost of PKR 423.504 million.
