Islamabad: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Punjab, in its 55th meeting for the financial year 2023-24, approved five major development schemes totaling PKR 25.969 billion, as reported by a news source on June 30.

Chaired by Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, the Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman, this decision marks significant progress in Punjab’s infrastructure development.
Approved Projects:
1- Rehabilitation of Multan-Vehari Road (93.5 km): PKR 13,000 million allocated to improve connectivity and transport efficiency, boosting economic activities.
2- Dualisation of Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road (24 km): PKR 11,000 million allocated for enhancing safety and reducing travel time, promoting economic growth.
3- Construction of CPO Complex at District Police Lines, Multan: PKR 481.544 million allocated to improve police operational efficiency and facilities.
4- Improvement and Extension of Sewerage System in Burewala City: PKR 1,011.80 million allocated to upgrade sewerage infrastructure, enhancing sanitation and quality of life.
5- Urban Sewerage Scheme in Sargodha City: PKR 476.447 million allocated to address drainage issues and promote a healthier urban environment.
