Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Monday revealed the provincial government had planned to set up an industrial zone along its border with Balochistan for trade purposes, a news source reported. He shared the information during a meeting with a delegation led by Balochistan Industries Minister Haji Muhammad Khan Toor Uthmankhail.

During the meeting, CM Buzdar said that Punjab would promote trade with Balochistan. He added that his government had started various projects in provinces ‘as a goodwill gesture’. He highlighted that Punjab was also assisting with road infrastructure improvement in Koh-e-Suleman to promote trade between the two provinces.

Meanwhile, Uthmankhail stated that Punjab was progressing rapidly and development had become visible in remote areas of the province. He extended his praise for the efforts made by CM Buzdar in this regard. He also invited the Punjab CM to visit Balochistan – upon which CM Buzdar announced that he would visit Loralai soon.
