Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has announced its decision to monitor all uplift schemes in the province through its ‘Smart Monitoring of Development Project’ software, a news source reported on December 23. Moreover, the departments concerned intend to utilize said facility for preparation of the PC-I for development projects.

According to the details revealed, the PITB recently integrated all Planning and Development (P&D) programmes with its ‘Smart Monitoring of Development Project’ software. Previously, P&D Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch and PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor had directed the officials concerned to digitize all planning and development initiatives for the province.

Meanwhile, the World Bank (WB) has lauded PITB Director General Sajid Lateef for his efforts aimed at digitizing all P&D initiatives in the province. Moreover, the global lending agency has invited DG Lateef to provide a briefing regarding software development at the international forum.
