Lahore: The Primary and Secondary Health Care Department (P&SHD) on Wednesday issued a list of businesses that were to remain open during the ongoing smart lockdown in Punjab, a news source reported. The list includes several local businesses that offer essential items and services.

According to the details shared, hospitals, medical stores, Kariana stores, flourmills, banks, courier services, driver services, hotels, workshops, petrol pumps, vehicle repair shops, LPG filling stations, tandoors, and milk and meat shops would remain open.
In a related development, the department has provided its approval to dry cleaners and tailors to keep their services running. It has also allowed shops of building materials and sanitary fittings to remain open during specified hours. Meanwhile, local and intercity transport services would remain operating round the clock.
The list indicated that restaurants would only have permission to provide home delivery and takeaway services. It added that LPG gas shops, filling plants, agriculture machinery shops, printing presses, and call centres would remain open with only 50% staff. Banks, currency exchange centres, telecom franchises, dry cleaners, and tailors would remain open according to provided timings.
