Lahore: The Punjab government has allocated funds worth PKR 3 billion for its Loan Mark-up Support Programme and Credit Guarantee Scheme initiatives – a news source reported.

Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal expressed his views on the matter. He said that this programme aims to facilitate entrepreneurs and the business community.
Sharing the details, the minister said that the government will cover 3% of the mark-up on loans – up to PKR 10 million. It will also provide financial assistance to businessmen under the said arrangements.

Moreover, the government will provide 80% of loans under its credit guarantee facility. The remaining amount will have to be arranged by the persons concerned.
