Previously, the Supreme Court (SC) had issued an eight-month deadline to the civic agency for allotting plots to the file holders of the residential scheme.
At present, about 9,000 individuals own plot files in the LDA City.
An LDA official revealed that the authority is nearing completion with regard to the land acquisition process (which it initiated on SC orders in January) for the project. The officials concerned recently acquired a large chunk of land for developing LDA City, he added.
