Rawalpindi: The government of Punjab, after a major meeting between the stakeholders, have announced that it will provide all possible facilities for investment in the surroundings of Rawalpindi Ring Road – a news source reported on December 4. This was stated by the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Murtaza following a meeting on industrial estate and special economic zones.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of stakeholders from the private sector and it was decided that the buildings will be planned in collaboration with chambers of commerce and other private stakeholders.

The meeting was briefed about establishment of an industrial estate surrounding Rawalpindi Ring Road and special economic zones in the country. It was also decided that Rawalpindi Ring Road project will be taken forward in consultation with both Rawalpindi and Islamabad chambers of commerce.
