Lahore: The Punjab Government will ensure that the necessary facilities are all provided at tourist spots across the province, a news source reported. Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar revealed this information while presiding over a meeting in his office.

The CM also stated that the provincial government plans to develop eight new tourist spots in eight different cities. The meeting discussed plans to promote religious and heritage-based tourism in Punjab.
Buzdar told the meeting that a proposal for constructing prefabricated rooms made from fibreglass and steel at tourist spots was under consideration.
In further development projects for different tourist spots, Buzdar discussed the following with the meeting:
- Improvement of the standard of facilities at Hiran Minar
- Double-decker buses to be regularly operated in Multan and Bahawalpur
- Development of Rohtas Fort parkway in Tilla Jogian, Jhelum
- Setting up camping sites in Thal and Cholistan
- Launching a parkway project for Koh-e-Suleman
- Establishing resorts in Kalabagh and Namal Lake
- Utilising potential of ecotourism in Ochali Lake area of Soan Skasar Valley
- Development of tourist sites along Sindh River near Attock Khurd
The CM directed the authorities concerned to fully avail the social media platforms and internet for the promotion of tourism. Meanwhile, the members of the meeting informed the minister regarding work on the parkway project in Kotli Satiyan and development of a resort at Dhorabi Lake.

CM Buzdar was further briefed about the ongoing process of the approval of the Punjab Tourism Policy and Tourism Authority Draft bill. The meeting’s participants added that authorities concerned will construct link roads for connecting the various tourist spots. They stated that Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) resthouses were now open for tourists in Lal Sohanra, Kallar Kahar, Changa Manga, Fort Munru, Jallo, and Kot Mithan.
