Lahore: Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Naseem Khokhar on Wednesday ordered the Urban Unit to prepare a feasibility report for the conversion of Kotli Sattian into a tourist destination, a news source reported. The provincial government plans to allot a hefty budget for initiating uplift schemes in the area.

The authorities concerned will send the report for approval to the Tourism Department, which will forward it to the cabinet for final nod.
The chief secretary stressed on need for drafting a master plan for all new tourist spots in order to avoid unplanned growth and overcrowding in the existing tourism destinations.

He said that the government was focusing on the development of new and smaller cities as tourist spots to reduce the pressure on larger cities.
