Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has demanded a record of the development projects of the past 10 years, according to a news report. Accounts have been demanded from all municipal corporations, development authorities, WASA, and PHA.
The provincial government has also called for a report on the 100-day performance of these government agencies. It has asked for the details and costs of successful projects, and their current utilisation for public benefit. Simultaneously, details of unsuccessful/incomplete projects have also been requested.
Their reasons for failure, and the costs incurred, have been sought.
On a similar note, the 100-day report demands details on all new projects that were launched during this timeframe.
After the government receives the data, a report will be formulated for the last 10 years. It will then be published for public awareness – with an emphasis on why certain projects failed.
