Lahore: The Punjab government on Sunday approved funds for the construction of the Zarar Shaheed Road project, a news source reported. To this effect, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan stated that the provincial executive had approved PKR 160.5 million for the uplift scheme.

The minister provided the said information on Zarar Shaheed Road construction during a meeting held to review the ongoing and completed development projects. He added that the Punjab government had completed several projects worth PKR 130 million. These included the development of water filtration plants, carpeting of roads and streets and various WASA projects, he added.

During the meeting, officials concerned informed Aleem about approval of projects worth PKR 100 million for sewerage and other works. They added that work on these projects would begin soon. They also revealed that the authorities concerned had completed several development projects in different areas; including Shah Jamal, Gulistan Colony, Mian Mir Colony, Ahata Mol Chand, Fazilia Colony, Gondi Pir, Baja Line, Railway Colony, and Basti Syedan Shah.
