According to the details, the government plans to collaborate with an international consultant to design the glass train service. Additionally, a policy was established to restore historical names for regions, cities, and sites, including Murree.
The announcement came following a five-hour meeting led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif. During the session, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb presented a comprehensive overview of the Murree Development Project. Urban planning and aesthetics were key discussion points. The meeting concluded with a decision to relocate high-rise hotels obstructing the scenic view along Mall Road. The prominent hotel at GPO Chowk will be moved to a new site. A standardised facade and color scheme will be implemented for heritage buildings to preserve their historical character.
