Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister Barrister Khalid Khursheed on Monday (January 17) agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between provinces, and collaborate for digitising land record system, according to news reports.

A delegation led by GB CM Khursheed on a phone call with CM Buzdar decided to promote inter-provincial harmony. During the telephonic conversation, CM Buzdar assured CM Khursheed that the Punjab government will help with land record digitisation and establish a medical college in GB.
Moreover, the Punjab chief minister stated that 15,000 metric tonnes of wheat will be provided to GB along with assistance to improve the civic amenities. He went on to say that Punjab will extend support to GB whenever required. GB CM Khursheed stated that the cooperation of the Punjab government will promote national unity.

The meeting was attended by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, GB Health Minister Haji Gul Bahar, Food Adviser Shams Lone, Secretaries of Food and Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education department and senior member Board of Revenue.
