Rawalpindi: The Punjab Forest Department has reinforced almost 80 per cent of the risky areas prone to landslides along Murree Expressway, Rawalpindi Forest Conservator Mr Iftikhar Ahmed Qureshi told a news agency.
Iftikhar added that the Forest Department had launched the project to keep commuters safe from landslides. Reportedly, the project was initiated in collaboration with the National Highway Authority (NHA).
The news source stated further that saplings were planted to reinforce the land and keep it safe from erosion.
