Lahore: The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department (ETN) on Monday (September 06) decided to undertake a property survey of land throughout the province, according to news sources.

To this effect, the department has formed teams and they will begin working soon. According to reports, a 35 to 40% boost in income is predicted as a result of the study. This survey will also include area near key motorways and highways in the province.

According to sources, the Department of Excise and Taxation conducts a survey every five years to assess land usage and develop strategies to collect taxes. The study, however, is beginning a year later than planned. Due to the pandemic situation in the country, the survey is happening this year, instead of being executed in 2020. It should be highlighted that the most recent survey was conducted in 2015.
