Lahore: The Punjab Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department has streamlined the process of obtaining no objection certification (NOCs) for the sale of properties in the province, according to news published on December 31, 2022.

As per the details, the Punjab government is progressing towards digitalising the various departments to facilitate the masses. With the availability of online NOCs’ issuance, the citizens of the province will no longer be required to visit the department’s branches and wait in long queues. However, properties with ongoing cases in courts will not be issued NOCs online.

It was highlighted that the department issues over 1,000 NOCs in a day. Presently, there are records of 40,000 properties in the new system. It is important to mention here that NOCs issued by the Excise and Taxation Department are mandatory for selling properties located in the urban areas of the province.
