Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar recently announced that the Punjab government has completed the arrangements required for establishing mobile land record centres in the province — a news source reported earlier today (July 13).

The government will set up 20 new centres around Punjab in the initiative’s first phase. Buzdar said that the mobile land record centres would allow the public to transfer land or have it registered in their names a lot more easily, from the comfort of their own homes.
He added that previously the mechanisms and systems involved in the process were not transparent and inefficient — leading to significant hardships for the public. However, the government’s e-governance initiatives are expected to change all that. Mobile land record centres will make the process more straightforward and effective.
