Rawalpindi: The provincial government has decided to use the development funds to provide relief to the citizens amidst rising inflation, according to news published on May 16.

As per the details, the provincial government has directed the civic bodies and district administrations not to start any tendering process or issue any work order in May and June. According to a senior official, the government wants to focus on inflation and for this reason, decided not to start any new projects until the start of the new fiscal year (FY). Also, the administration has been asked to complete all the ongoing schemes within the stipulated time.

Moreover, it was mentioned that the tendering process of Kutchery Chowk ‘s remodeling project will start in FY 2022-23. The government will submit a proposal for the Rawal Expressway and Flood Channel, Kutchery Chowk, and Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) projects to be included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for allocation of funds.
