Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited Ravi Sapphire Bay, located near Sheikhupura, to oversee the progress of the ongoing development work, as reported on September 10.

As per details, she was briefed on the River Training Work Development Plan, where RUDA CEO Imran Amin highlighted that 46 km of channelisation would be carried out in three phases along both sides of the River Ravi. Additionally, 36% of the project area is allocated for forests and green spaces. Amin further shared plans for constructing a 46-km three-way road from Siphen to Hudayara Drain and the development of three barrages as part of the Ravi River Front Project.
The CM visited the sites of River Training Works and Barrage, and reviewed the construction work at Sapphire Bay.
