Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has provided his approval to the construction of two underpasses and one flyover in a bid to resolve traffic issues in the provincial capital, according to news source published on December 08.

The chief minister also directed the officials concerned to prepare a feasibility report for said projects by December 30. Following the approval, a flyover will be constructed to resolve the traffic woes of Samanabad and Gulshan-e-Ravi. The construction cost for the said project is estimated at PKR 1.5 billion. Similarly, an underpass will be constructed at Gulab Devi Junction of Ferozepur Road. This will be the first underpass development alongside Metro Bus Corridor and will be completed at an estimated cost of PKR 1.10 billion.

Another project involves the construction of an underpass at Akbar Chowk and its remodelling has been handed over to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
