Islamabad: Punjab Government has reserved funds worth billions of rupees for development projects – including Dadocha Dam – in its budget for 2017-18, according to a news source. More notable of these include water reservoirs in Rawalpindi region.
An amount of PKR 300 million has been reserved for Rawalpindi’s Chahan Dam, PKR 650 million for Mohata Dam, PKR 520 million for Papin Dam and PKR 2 billion for Dadocha Dam. In addition, PKR 1.16 billion have been allocate for bulk water supply project which will channel water to Rawalpindi from Murree and River Jhelum.
