Lahore: The new building for the Punjab Assembly is in its last stages, and is expected to be ready for launch by mid-March, according to a news source. A province with a population of over 110,000,000 people, Punjab will be getting a state of the art Assembly building soon.
The Punjab Assembly’s new building is 97% completed, and is expected to house 38 offices for ministers. The plan for this was initiated by ex-Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi in 2006. In the years of its delay, the cost of the project has increased threefold.
