Taxila: Punjab Revenue Minister Col (retired) Muhammad Anwar Khan, on Friday, said that 8,000 rural revenue centres would be operational by the end of December 2021, reported the news sources. The project is part of the government plan to provide people with land-related services at their doorstep.

According to the minister, the government has already built 807 land record facilities in various districts of the province, which provide services connected to land mutation transfer at the village level.
The automated system will be linked to NADRA in order to provide a digital solution for land-related issues. It was highlighted that the revenue system was upgraded and being made transparent to facilitate people.

Furthermore, the minister stated that the government has linked the land record system with banks to offer e-stamping and data exchange, which has resulted in an 80% rise in department revenue. In addition, the data has been made available to 23 banks. So far, the revenue department has recovered 140,000 acres of land.
Furthermore, the minister stated that development initiatives in the Rawalpindi area would begin shortly, which will include carpeting of road leading from Fatehjang to Pindigheb and a sports complex will be developed Pindigheb.
