Lahore: Punjab Local Government and Community Development Minister Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed announced the allocation of 30% of the development budget to village councils, according to media reports. The government introduced a new and effective local government system for the provision of quality municipal services to people.

As per the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, transparency will be maintained in every development project. Recently, the chief minister had announced an uplift package for the Narowal district and development funds were released immediately.
Moreover, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed ordered the deputy commissioner to devise a master plan for the Narowal District. He stated that details about projects to uplift the standard of living in the district will be shared with CM Buzdar.

Narowal Deputy Commissioner Nabila Irfan revealed that a comprehensive programme was being followed to deliver the projects as per the timeline shared by the CM. Minister Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed stated that it was the first time Narowal district was provided development funds.
