Lahore: Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday (October 20) approved five uplift schemes worth PKR 3.023 billion, news sources reported. The approval was given by the Planning & Development (P&D) Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal, while he presided over the 28th meeting of PWDP here in Lahore.

The funds for the schemes will be allocated in the ongoing fiscal year (FY 2021-22). A breakdown of the proposed development projects is as follows:
- PKR 1 billion has been allocated for the development of comprehensive sewerage, drainage and water supply system in Gujrat City
- PKR 681.5 million has been allocated for the advocacy campaign leading to call of action-social and behaviour change

- PKR 462.014 million has been allocated for the construction of the Women Development Complex The said PDWP meeting was attended by the members of the P&D Board and members of other concerned departments.
