Islamabad: The Islamabad International Airport has yet to have a public transportation facility for citizens using the airport, according to a news report. This PKR 105 billion transit facility was launched on 1st May 2018.
While the project consists of various metro bus stations and road networks, the airport was inaugurated before the completion of the 20 km long metro bus track from Peshawar Morr to the airport.
The National Highway Authority project director Samiullah Chatta has said that the project is underway, and work has been completed by 80%. Another two months are required before the project can be officially inaugurated. Chatta also highlighted that private vehicles and public transportation can reach the airport with ease.
