Gujranwala: Citizens who want to arrange weddings in public parks will have to pay the government to hold such ceremonies, a news source reported. This was decided during the 12th session meeting of the Board of Directors (BOD) of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).
Gujranwala Commissioner and PHA Director, General Asadullah Faiz, presided over the session. Deputy Commissioner Rae Mansoor Nasir, PHA Chairman Hameed, Housing Deputy Secretary Moazzam Jamil Malik, Admin and Finance Director Adnan Arshad Cheema, Admin and Marketing Deputy Director Rana Muhammad Jamil, and other officials also attended the meeting.
A decision was taken to expedite work on the restoration of public parks and green belts. The officials concerned were told to restore the lake and build a restaurant at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. Some necessary renovation work will also be carried out in other parks across the city.
