Mardan: The various public parks in Mardan which had been undergoing development will be opened soon, according to a news source. The ongoing development work on them is expected to be completed soon, allowing the city administration to open these facilities in the near future.

To monitor the pace and quality of ongoing work, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Tourism, Sports and Culture Atif Khan visited the project sites on Thursday (December 26). During his visit, he instructed the concerned officials to ensure that work on these projects is completed on time, and also confirm that the quality of work is according to the highest standards.

The minister also received a briefing regarding these parks. Mardan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abid Wazir Khan informed the minister that the parks include a livestock park, a mega park, and a family park. Out of these park, the Mega Park spans 330 kanals, and its being developed at a cost of PKR 400 million. The development cost of other two parks is 10.8 million.

The minister directed the DC to provide all the needed recreational facilities in these parks for the benefits of Mardan’s citizens.
