Islamabad: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) on Wednesday revealed that it would soon introduce an exclusive e-portal for attracting foreign tourists to the country, a news source reported.

A senior PTDC official stated that the exclusive e-portal would allow people to explore Pakistan’s tourist attractions with just with one click. As per the details shared, the portal will feature virtual galleries, documentaries, and videos.
The PTDC official further said that the launch of the portal was a part of the Brand Pakistan Programme initiative. He added that this initiative was currently in its last stages of development, and would promote the country as a customised brand across the world. The e-portal is expected to offer a user-friendly interface, along with all the necessary and latest information on Pakistan’s various tourist attractions, he said.

The official additionally revealed that the National Tourism Strategy (NTS) 2020-2030 was also on the cards. He added that this strategy aimed to utilise the maximum resources of the tourism industry in order to ensure sustained economic growth, poverty alleviation and a reduction in social inequalities.
