Lahore: The Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) has extended the provincial lockdown for another 15 days – until July 30, according to a news report published on July 15.

P&SHD Secretary Captain (R) Muhammad Usman Younis, under Punjab Infectious Diseases (Prevention and Control) Ordinance 2020, extended the department’s earlier notification vis-à-vis the lockdown in Punjab – which ended on July 15 at 12 am.

Moreover, the order shall come to be enforced and with immediate effect and will be publicised widely for the general public’s knowledge. Under this modification – all private and public educational institutes, cinemas, parks, restaurants and wedding halls shall remain close. Additionally, any religious, social, recreational gatherings shall not be executed.
