Peshawar: The provincial chief minister has directed the removal of all hurdles in the provision of gas to three districts of Kohat division, a news source reported. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan gave the directions while chairing a meeting in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Peshawar.
The meeting was briefed about gas being supplied to Karak, Hangu, and Kohat and the problems faced in the supply of gas to certain areas of these districts. The CM also expressed his concerns on delays in the project and stated that any delay would cause the costs to rise.
The CM further stated that the share of Kohat division in gas royalties had been embedded in the current annual development programme.
KP Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra, MNA Shahid Ahmad, Advisor to CM on Education Ziaullah Bangah, Advisor to CM on Energy Hamayatullah Khan, Secretaries and other relevant officers including Kohat Commissioner, Kohat RPO, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) general manager, and the Karak deputy commissioner also attended the meeting.
