Taxilla: The Punjab Government has planned to develop a multi-storey residential colony for industrial labourers from Rawalpindi and its adjoining areas.
According to a news source, Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Mr Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Punjab Labour Secretary Mr Farhan Khawaja recently visited the proposed site of the colony to finalise arrangements for the ground-breaking ceremony. The news source also unveiled that the proposed site of the colony was in Chokkar Village near Sector E-17.
An estimated cost of Rs 3 billion will be incurred on the development of the colony.
