Lahore: The Punjab government and an international firm have signed an agreement to prepare master plan for Lahore Knowledge Park. Under the agreement, the international firm will prepare an in-detail design for the park, which is planned to be set up in a large area in the city. Reportedly, the master plan will be completed within 16 weeks.
While speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mr Shahbaz Sharif said that the country could be made more prosperous by promoting modern knowledge. Massive resources were being spent on promoting education, he added.
The CM also said that the Lahore Knowledge Park was of great significance and it was a unique project that will be undertaken first time in the country.
According to a news source, campuses of well-known universities will be set up in the park and the international firm will make efforts to devise the master plan as soon as possible.
