Islamabad: The provinces have proposed 56% increase in their development outlay for the upcoming budget to the centre, a news source reported.
Punjab has proposed more than double allocation in its annual development plan for the upcoming financial year from revised estimates of PKR 165 billion for current fiscal year to PKR 400 billion for the next fiscal.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has slashed down its allocation for the upcoming budget as they proposed an allocation of PKR 142 billion in next fiscal year, as against the revised estimated of PKR 181 billion for the current fiscal year.
Out of total ADP of PKR 400 billion, Punjab will allocate PKR 373 billion in shape of local rupee component from its own resources. The remaining PKR 27 billion will be obtained as foreign project assistance in 2019-20.
Sindh has proposed to increase its ADP to PKR 290.3 billion in the coming budget against revised estimates of PKR 190 billion in outgoing fiscal year. Of the total ADP, Sindh has proposed local component of PKR 245.3 billion and PKR 45 billion in shape of foreign project assistance.
KP government will generate PKR 85 billion in the shape of local rupee component, and remaining PKR 57 billion as foreign project assistance in coming financial year.
The Balochistan government has almost doubled its proposed allocation for annual development plan for the coming budget as it increased its allocation from PKR 46 billion in current fiscal to PKR 80 billion in the next financial year 2019-20.
Balochistan government will generate PKR 72 billion in shape of local rupee component and remaining PKR 8 billion as foreign aid in the coming financial year.
