Pursuant to the details, advanced technology is now being employed to monitor and review the daily progress of development projects. During a briefing to the Standing Committee on Planning and Development, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb revealed that Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz oversees project data through a dedicated portal.
Minister Aurangzeb highlighted the allocation of PKR 844 billion for public projects—the largest budget in Punjab’s history to ensure equitable development across the province.
Key initiatives include reforms in healthcare, with upgrades to health facilities at various levels, and a focus on environmental sustainability through improved industrial and agricultural practices. Subsidised agricultural machinery is being provided, and a “Clean Punjab” initiative is extending Lahore’s cleanliness model to all districts.
The province has also prioritised education, IT, skill development, and maternal and child health, along with launching the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” scheme to enable homeownership.
