Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has submitted a proposal to the Board of Investment (BOI) for the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Hattar and Rashakai, according to a news report. The provincial government has submitted this proposal through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC).
According to the official press release, these SEZs are to be made on the framework under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). These are going to be established along rail cargo centres, Logistics Hubs and have dedicated power plants. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KPEZMDC Saeed Ahmad Khan has labelled this as a game-changer for the entire province and is optimistic that more development programs would soon ensue.
