Lahore: The Commissioner Lahore Division Dr. Mujtaba Paracha issued a report on the first week of anti-encroachment drive under Punjab government’s Clean & Green Program, a news source reported. Under the drive, PKR 18 billion worth of property was retrieved.
A total of 5,910 kanals of land was repossessed and 9,130 temporary and 7,165 permanent encroachments were removed under the operation in Lahore division. 56 FIRs were registered and 3,539 warning notices were issued during the operation.
In Lahore district, 2,039 kanals were retrieved, in Sheikhupura 2,476 kanals, in Nankana district 1,001 kanals, and in Kasur 393 kanals were retrieved.
