Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to give concessions on property taxes for houses measuring 5 and 10 marlas, a news source reported.

Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai made an announcement to this effect during a press briefing. He said that the provincial government would make utmost efforts to fulfil the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, who has called for the introduction of people-friendly policies.
For this purpose, the cabinet members decided in favour of extending tax exemptions to owners of residential properties measuring 5 and 10 marlas in the province.
Yousafzai said that the authorities concerned plans to introduce changes in the taxes framework for those taxis which fall under the ambit of the provincial government.

He added that KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed each minister to review the performance of their ministry after every three months, and provide updates to the provincial cabinet.
