Lahore: The Land Record Authority, Punjab has decided to introduce an online system for the generation of property fard from January 30, 2018, according to a news source. The decision was taken during the fifth annual board meeting of the Land Record Authority.
The meeting also discussed the proposal of setting up model centres. Reportedly, an MoU will also be signed between the authority and Bank of Punjab (BoP) for online generation of property fard. The decision has been taken to reduce the burden on service centres that manually issue property fard.
After the online system becomes functional, property owners in Punjab will eventually be able to get online property fard issued from 400 BoP branches in the province. The project will be completed on a phase-by-phase basis, initially setting up the online system in selected BoP branches only.
