Karachi: Citizens of Sindh can now verify their property documents online at any time by paying a processing fee of PKR 150, according to Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) member Roshan Ali Sheikh.
This initiative is one of the two portal setups introduced by the provincial government under its Ease of Doing Business programme. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah launched the twin portals at the Sindh Doing Business Reforms Exhibition-II event last week.

The property portal allows citizens to track their property deeds as well as review progress on their property registration process. This latest initiative aims to prevent any instances of forgery pertaining to property documents cataloguing.
Applicants will now have to pay a sum of PKR 150 to review their documents online. Moreover, this facility is expected to greatly reduce the timeframe related to the property registration process – which previously spanned seven months. As per reports, the new timeframe has been reduced to 17 days.
In a similar measure, the government has reduced the duration for a sub-registrar to scrutinise documents from three months to three days. In case of any violation, the official concerned will have to face disciplinary action.
