Faisalabad: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Sunday stated that the promotion of the tourism sector will help improve the national economy and pave way for prosperity, according to media reports.

Talking to the media at the ceremony related to Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight operation from Faisalabad to Skardu, the minister acknowledged PIA’s effort to promote tourism. He went on to say that Pakistan is endowed with diverse natural splendour and the current administration intends to promote tourism.
In addition, the state minister stated that a new airport will be built in Gilgit. Mr Farrukh Habib said that over 4 million people have visited Pakistan’s northern areas, which has also boosted the hotel industry.
Fortunately, with careful planning and monitoring, the tourism sector is returning to normalcy. According to the state minister, religious tourism should be promoted so that visitors from all over the world can visit religious places.

State Minister Farrukh Habib, stated that Faisalabad is extremely important both nationally and internationally since it is the location of the first economic zone developed under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He went on to say that a new airport in Faisalabad can be built using the Sialkot model through a public-private partnership.
