Islamabad: The government has asked British Airways to help it develop and promote Pakistan’s tourism sector – a news source reported.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfikar Bukhari expressed his views on the matter. He was talking to the British Airways officials and representatives of the British Embassy.

Paul Coventry, head of Worldwide Airports, John Monks, Director Safety and Security and David Craig, International Risk Adviser were all present at the occasion.
Bukhari suggested to launch a tourism campaign on social media. He said that social media could be utilised in a bid to develop the tourism sector. He asked the British officials to help spread and promote Pakistan’s positive image across the globe.

Moreover, the special assistant thanked British Airways for launching its operations in Pakistan. The international airline is likely to commence its operations in June.
In response, the British delegation thanked Bukhari for his support. The members also lauded the government for providing state-of-the-art facilities at the New Islamabad International Airport.
