Faisalabad: The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) has approved seven uplift schemes for Faisalabad, including construction of roads and provision of a sewerage system, a news source reported.

In a meeting held on Wednesday, the authority also approved schemes pertaining to water supply and development in the education department. The provincial government expects to complete the approved projects at a cost of PKR 570 million.
Authorities concerned will spend a sum of PKR 100 million on upgrading the sewerage system in the Satiana area. They will spend another PKR 100 million for a sewerage and drainage project in Chak No 229-RB Makooana. These projects fall under the Annual Development Programme (ADP).
Meanwhile, the relevant authorities will complete the repair and maintenance of different roads in Faisalabad at a cost of PKR 50 million.

DDWP approved a project to provide missing facilities in the Government Degree College for Women Gojra and the Government Girls College Gulshan Colony at a cost of PKR 20 million and PKR 84 million, respectively.
